	Sign-In  Register            Courtney Jessie Hello everyone!, my name is Courtney Jessie and I am serving as your 2017-2018 Vice President. I am stationed by the plow, and my duties there, "The plow is a symbol of labor and tillage of the soil. Without labor, neither knowledge nor wisdom can accomplish much. My duties require me to assist at all times directing the work of  our organization. I preside over meeting in the absence of our president, whose place is beneath the rising sun."  I decided to run for office again this year because FFA has had such a big influence on my life, and I don't know where I would be in my high school career if I wasn't involved in FFA.  FFA has opened so many doors for me while I have been in high school and for when I get out of high school and go onto college.   My favorite CDE's include parliamentary procedure, dairy judging, and horse evaluation. Although I love all of these CDE's my most favorite one of all would definitely be parliamentary procedure because it teaches you how to conduct a proper business meeting. It is also a good way to get closer to the other team members because you have to work together in order  to succeed.         To get to know me a little better I am a senior at West Greene High School. My SAE's include beef production, with about 70 head of registered black Angus cattle, and a SAE in poultry with 14 chicks and chickens. I work on my family farm with my grandfather and father who have been big inspirations to what I'm wanting to in life. I plan on becoming a large and small animal veterinarian, with the possibility of going back to college and getting a degree in exotic animal veterinary license. I have also, done State Talent for the past three years now and plan on continuing doing so.The last year I did State Talent with an amazing partner Becca Douthat.
